SCI Basketball Integrated Performance: An Integrated Return-to-Performance Framework
SCI Basketball Integrated Performance: An Integrated Return-to-Performance Framework
Provider Name: Sports Combine Institute (SCI)
Activity Type: On-Demand Activity
Description: An evidence-based, criterion-driven framework for returning basketball athletes to full performance. Across 10 modules, athletic trainers learn to unify tissue-level healing, load management, force and capacity development, objective testing, and basketball-specific skill reintegration into one reproducible return-to-performance system, distinguishing return-to-play from return-to-performance through objective decision-making.
Objectives: Upon successful completion, participants will be able to: Apply an integrated model of rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, and sport skill development to the return-to-performance process in basketball athletes. Differentiate return-to-play from return-to-performance using objective, criterion-based clinical decision-making frameworks. Analyze tissue healing timelines and load management principles to guide progressive return-to-sport programming. Construct individualized force and capacity development programs aligned with sport-specific performance benchmarks for basketball. Design skill integration progressions that bridge physical rehabilitation to on-court sport demands. Select, administer, and interpret objective performance and functional movement assessments to guide return-to-performance decisions. Evaluate basketball-specific biomechanical and physiological demands and apply them to targeted rehabilitation programming. Synthesize clinical, performance, and skill data from complex case presentations to optimize return-to-performance outcomes. Develop a reproducible, evidence-informed integrated performance system applicable to professional clinical practice. Demonstrate competency in translating SCI framework principles across diverse clinical and performance contexts.
