Description: Every athlete brings a unique set of constraints that influence everything from batting stances to pitching mechanics. This individuality reaffirms that coaching, training, and rehab can't follow a universal approach. Our goal - understand the underlying principles so we recognize why interventions are effective and establish a process that helps to identify these nuances for each player. In this lecture + hands-on course we’ll cover: 1. Foundational principles: Physics, Biomechanics, Anatomy & More! 2. Applying assessments + performance tech (force plates, motion capture, Edgertronic). 3. The “why” and “how” behind exercise/drill selection to make more Informed, effective decisions.

Objectives: The goal of this course is to enhance the attendees working mental model of human movement to enable them to both assess and intervene to enhance movement efficiency of baseball players. By doing so they will also improve their understanding of how skills coaching, the medical arena, and strength and conditioning can all have synergistic or antagonistic effects on the athlete and their movement capabilities.
