Cultivating A Performance Medicine Culture
Cultivating A Performance Medicine Culture
Provider Name:
Training Room Education
Activity Type:
On-Demand Activity
Description:
Great performance medicine is about more than treatment techniques, technology, and clinical expertise—it requires a culture capable of consistently delivering them. This course provides a practical framework for intentionally building that culture through three interconnected pillars: People, Process, and System. Participants will explore how staff values, purpose, buy-in, and relationships establish the foundation; how clearly defined roles, shared terminology, standardized pathways, communication schedules, escalation protocols, and structured handoffs create clarity in complex environments; and how an overarching system connects departments, people, and processes around a shared performance medicine philosophy. Most importantly, the course moves from philosophy to implementation. Participants will learn a phased approach to assessing what currently works, aligning a team around action and change, addressing systemic problems, implementing new systems, maintaining open communication, and continually reflecting and adapting to establish a clear organizational standard. The goal is to create a performance medicine environment that sets the environment, creates the experience, and delivers reassurance—reducing uncertainty, building confidence, and organizing the department around the athlete’s journey.
Objectives:
1. Identify the key pillars in cultivating a performance medicine culture
2. Understand sub-categories in each pillar
