That’s exactly why we created this Journal Club. Our mission is to build a collaborative, supportive space where rehab providers can overcome those barriers—together. Through open discussions, critical analysis of cutting-edge research, and actionable takeaways, we’re creating a community grounded in growth and shared learning. This isn’t your typical journal club. Unlike large, impersonal sessions where participants are muted and only the “experts” speak, ours is interactive, intimate, and inclusive. Everyone contributes. Everyone learns. And everyone has a voice. We’re here to rethink how research gets discussed and applied in the sports rehab world—by making it practical, approachable, and powerful.

Objectives: Apply current research findings to improve diagnostic accuracy and clinical reasoning in sports and orthopedic rehabilitation. Identify clinical findings and red flags that warrant referral for diagnostic imaging or further medical evaluation. Use evidence to inform clinical decision-making at key points across the rehabilitation continuum, from initial evaluation through return to sport. Establish objective key performance indicators (KPIs) to guide progression and benchmark patient status at each phase of rehabilitation. Select appropriate outcome measures and testing strategies to track patient progress and support criteria-based progression. Translate research findings into practical, actionable changes to patient care. Collaborate with peers to share clinical perspectives and refine decision-making through case-based discussion.
