Provider Name: Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center Division of Sports Medicine
Activity Type: Conferences
Description: Join us for a dynamic, full-day course exploring the continuum of ACL reconstruction (ACLR) rehabilitation in the pediatric and adolescent athlete - from pre-operative preparation to return-to-sport decision-making. Through a combination of interactive lectures, panel discussions, and hands-on lab experience (exclusively for in-person attendees), participants will gain practical tools and clinical insights rooted in the latest evidence and over two decades of research and outcomes data at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. This course highlights our algorithmic, evidence-based approach to ACLR rehabilitation and offers an in-depth look at key decision points, including strategies for quadriceps strengthening in the intermediate phase and the integration of cognitive loading and dual-task challenges across the rehab timeline. Attendees will also learn how ongoing research at Cincinnati Children’s continues to shape and refine our rehabilitation model. The program features presentations from nationally recognized leaders in pediatric sports physical therapy and sports medicine, including Mark Paterno, PT, PhD, MBA, SCS, ATC, and Christy Zwolski, PT, DPT, PhD, OCS whose expertise and scholarship have helped define best practices in pediatric ACLR rehabilitation and return-to-sport assessment. In-person attendees will further benefit from direct access to faculty during an interactive round-table forum at the conclusion of the conference, offering an opportunity for open discussion, case-based problem solving, and deeper clinical insight. Don’t miss this opportunity to deepen your expertise in pediatric ACLR management and return-to-sport planning—ensuring young athletes are equipped to succeed on the field, court, stage, track, or mat, and beyond.
